This page is dedicated to Morgen, without whom I would never have gotten involved in rescue. She was a poorly bred Rottweiler from Tennessee, rescued at eight weeks with a badly broken leg, and brought home for Christmas by my daughter, after I lost Willie and T.J. in 1994. She was my savior when I lost them. She also was there for me through many tough family times. Her full name was Guten Morgen..German for Good Morning. She was the beginning of a new day for me. She never met a person she didn't like. She never snapped at anyone. She was a sweet, tender soul. Even at the Neurology Center the day before she was euthanized, when she was on a stretcher on the floor, in so much pain she couldn't get up, she smiled and wagged her stump whenever anyone came in to exam her or just to pet her.
